Wedding at Grand hotel Villa Serbelloni – Bellagio

Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni – Bellagio: An amazing venue over the lake

Marriage at Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni. The Bellagio promontory extends into Lake Como, dividing its two branches. Right at this pinnacle stands one of the most iconic locations on Lake Como: the Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni. Together with the Grand Hotel de Bretagne, these were the places that inspired the famous Bellagio casino in Las Vegas. On the gentle waters of Lake Como, a two-day wedding was celebrated for a fantastic young couple coming from the United States. As the sun paints golden hues on the lake’s surface, a gentle Breva breeze carries away the first summer warmth. Guests had gathered at the Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni for a pre-wedding party on the evening before the ceremony. On such a special day, they created a wonderfully informal atmosphere in front of the hotel’s bar.

The photography session was split over two days of shooting: on the first day, we captured a quick engagement session in the alleys of Bellagio, already beloved by Leonardo Da Vinci. This was followed by coverage of the pre-wedding party.

On the second day, we began by documenting the couple’s preparation and then proceeded with the first look, the moment when the couple sees each other before the ceremony. We then captured the lakeside ceremony, with beautiful sailboats approaching and guests shouting their well-wishes to the newlyweds.

The post-ceremony part of the coverage took place inside the Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni in Bellagio. Undoubtedly one of the most prestigious hotels on the lake, it has hosted Winston Churchill, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, John Fitzgerald Kennedy, Fārūq I of Egypt, Al Pacino, Umberto Eco, and Isabel Allende.

The couple chose this historically rich setting to celebrate their marriage, a civil ceremony just a few steps away from the lake’s waters.

The aperitif was held in the Italian gardens of the villa, offering a view of the lake – a stunning backdrop with mountains rising from the water.

For dinner, we moved indoors to the spacious rooms of the villa, where we continued to celebrate into the late hours of the night.
